Whisky, made in England. Really?
Yes, you read that right. Since 2003 distilleries in England have been producing whisky
Whilst this is a far younger category than Scotch or Irish (which can trace their heritage back to the 1400s) it is no less exciting for it. English whisky is, on the whole, a craft whisky category. By producing flavoursome whiskies at young ages, English distilleries defy the established expectations of age statement superiority.
With the first 18 year old released in 2025 the category is rapidly reaching older milestones, but many English distilleries are yet to release whisky or have only done so to date in very small batches or single casks. But that’s part of what makes it all so exciting. You can be a part of history-in-the-making and join these distilleries on their exciting journeys from the outset.

You don’t have to be a member to explore English whisky, but it helps!
As a member you receive early access to and significant discounts on all of our activities. Be that the cheapest tickets going for the English Whisky Festival, £10 off cask shares, tasting events and distillery tours, or money off our Explorer Series bottlings.
But membership is about so much more than just saving money. You’ll be part of a growing community of like-minded English whisky fans.
